Firstly what is boudoir photography?
Boudoir photography is a genre that celebrates and captures the beauty, confidence and sensuality of individuals. It is an empowering space for clients to express themselves and embrace their bodies. It is NOT the P word rhyming with corn! I offer indoor and outdoor boudoir and empowerment photoshoots.
Do I need to have a perfect body for boudoir photography?
You are perfect as you are! Boudoir photography is about embracing your real self - all the bits you see as imperfections. Ignore society’s standards, they’re not real!
What should I wear for a boudoir photoshoot?
You can wear anything that makes you feel confident and beautiful. I recommend choosing outfits that reflect your personality, whether it’s lingerie, an oversized jumper, long socks, heels, dresses and so on. We will discuss all this when you book in with me and I will send you my guide that has all the recommendations!
What if I’m not comfortable showing too much skin?
Your comfort comes first. You can choose outfits that make you feel empowered without revealing too much. Your boudoir photoshoot is about YOUR version of sensuality. I will check with you throughout the photoshoot to make sure you’re feeling comfortable and I encourage you to let me know if there’s anything you don’t want to do.
How do I prepare for a boudoir photoshoot?
I will send you my detailed guide on how to prepare for your photoshoot starting about a month out. It has everything from tips on skincare through to clothing choices. I support you every step of the way!
Do you help me with posing, I don’t know what to do!
Yes, I guide you every step of the way. I take a variety of posed and natural shots and even the natural ones are guided. I help with poses, where to put your hands, even facial expressions. You don’t have to worry about a thing!
Do you edit my photos?
Yes, however these photoshoots are about celebrating your authentic self so my editing process is focused on enhancing your natural beauty rather than altering your appearance! I edit out things that are temporary like pimples and bruises but don’t do things like alter the size of you and so on.
Can I choose the location for my photoshoot?
Yes! I do have my own secluded spots I love and know work well but if you have somewhere special you want to do your photoshoot, just let me know.
Do my photos have to go online?
Absolutely not! It is totally up to you whether you allow me to share any or not. I don’t share anything you don’t want me to.
How long will it take to receive my photos after my photoshoot?
Straight after your photoshoot, we work out a date that we can meet up for me to show you your masterpieces. This is generally 7-10 days later. After you’ve chosen which ones you want, I will send them to you, usually the same day, provided they’ve been paid for in full.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, definately. Talk to me about it and we can work out what is best for you.
